new computer

I bought a laptop today!! This is the first time typing on it. Wish me luck that I will be able to get it figured out and get it working. I am learning all sorts of things about it. It has a camera. Who would have thunk it? As soon as I can figure it out, maybe I can skype on it. Neat. Once I get it set up, I will put some pictures of it on.

We are having a bake sale to raise money for MDA. Every year I get asked what I am bringing. This year I made cheeseburger made out of cupcakes. Super Easy. I hope they will help raise money.

Every now and then I get an inkling to be crafty. This is the latest batch. Spring to come soon. (Hopefully :)

I have decided to move to Pleasant Grove, Ut to live with Grandma Karlson. The problem now is trying to get a transfer. I had an interview last week, but I didn't get the job. I have put in for so many different postitions, and it's get frusterating, but I know the Lord has a plan for me, I just don't see it right now.

I have also decided to go back to school and get my business degree. Working on buying a laptop, and getting set up to take some online classes.

Cross your fingers and your toes that I am able to find a job, and get started on school. I could use all the good luck I can get.

*I am still getting used this blogging thing. I have figured out how to center the pictures (thanks Stace), but now I can't figure out how to get the pictures in the right order. I wanted the pictures of the cupcakes to go at the bottom, but it was no use and I was getting flustered, so I quit, and did them at the beginning. If anyone has any pointers, please let me know.

For the lack of activities I had going this weekend, I decided to rent some movies from redbox. I can honestly say I am a fan of redbox, but sometimes they don't have much of a selection. I have found the redboxs at Wallgreens are the best to go to because they have 2, but the downside is... it's outside and it was cold on Friday. Nevertheless, I went and stood in the cold and rented me a couple of movies. Glee: In Concert, and Beastley. Just watching Safety Dance and the Warblers made renting Glee worth it. I watched Safety Dance a few times and thought of how when driving down the road with Stacey, we put it on and it would calm down Tayden. Beastley was like a modern day Beauty and the Beast. I enjoyed it, but glad I didn't go to the theatre to watch it.

Next week: Who knows? Maybe Dolphin Tale or Planet of the Apes.

So Imagine...

Close your eyes and imagine a warm and juicy apple strudel stamboli. Hot juices running out the sides, cream cheese of sweetness, and a taste of brown sugar strudel to top it off.

When making it, I thought this is going to be great.

See previously in the week I made a spinach and chicken stramboli that was really good. So good that we didn't have any left overs. I thought to myself, I think an cream cheese apple would be to die for.

Vegas part 2

Back from Vegas. Had a fantastic time. Stacey and I had the opportunity to go see Lion King. Amazing!!! I am so glad that we went. Stacey informed me that it this is the last year they are going to be doing it on Broadway. I remember seeing the preview for it when it first came out, and thinking, I want to see that. And I did. The words were pretty much the same as the movie, but the costumes were out of this world. The giraffes were people on stilts, they had a big elephant that came down the stairs onto the stage, zebras, and antalope. It was just Awesome!!

Stace dropped me off at the airport yesterday at about 10am. The Vegas airport is HUGE. I first checked in, (they checked in my luggage for free!) went up the stairs to my right, and followed the hall. Went through security, where I had to hold up my arm and go through a body scanner, and then ride a tram to my gate. There were slot machines everywhere and all kinds of really expensive store. I bought a water and some nutter butters- $7.00

This morning (December 16) I slept in and enjoyed a mostly lazy day. Made some chocolate snowflakes for my visit teaching ladies, went to the post office, and conquered Winco.

My parents gave me a zebra barreled Rugar 1022. It is a good looking gun!! I am excited to go to the gun range and shoot it. As soon as I get a picture, I will post it. I am still trying to figure out how posting pictures work.

Vegas, Day 2

Been in Vegas for 2 days, and I forgot the camera. I am writing on my sister's laptop. It's been kind of hard to type, so I am going to make this fast until I get back.
Yesterday we went to Costco, took a 2 1/2 hour nap and went to dinner. Went to Sweet Tomato for dinner. Delicious!!! Healthy Food. Best Salad Bar ever!!
Today we went to the Disney store, where I purchased Christmas for Beckett and a cup for Tayden. We went to the Bellagio to watch the fountains, but they don't start until 3pm. Didn't feel like waiting around for 2 hours, so we went to Mandolay Bay Shark Reef.
I wish I could stay longer!!! I will definetly have to come down again soon.

So... Continued..

It has been a frustrating process, but I think I am up and going.

To catch up with my life:
* I am still single. I would love to get married and have a family, but I know the Lord is teaching me patience and has a plan for me. I have to remind myself, the Lord has a plan, and no matter what, he will do what is best for me. I was also hoping by my birthday, I would have my first kiss, but that doesn't seem to be in the card either. Oh, well. There is always next year.

* I have been on Nutrisystem for the last 10 months. I have lost 30 lbs so far and looking to loose another 25 by next June or July. It is definetly taking some work. I have also joined Curves, although I haven't gone alot in the last few months. I need to get back in the habit, so I can loose the weight and gain muscle. I decided about a month ago I was going to run in a marathon. If I want to do that, I should probably start working on that. :) When I can figure out how to post pictures, I will post before and so far pictures.

* I am still a department manager at Lowe's. I work in the Paint/Home Decor/Home Storage departments. I love working with MOST of the people that come in. Not all, some I want to strangle. I sometimes think: Stupid people should not be reproducing. Their kids are doomed.

*I am going to Las Vegas to see my sister and her family on Sunday. On Wednesday, we are going to Lion King, the broadway play. I am so, so excited. I have always wanted to see it, and I thought for my birthday, I would treat myself. I am really excited my sister gets to come with me.

That's it so far. When I can figure out to post pictures, I will post some from my upcoming trip and my weight loss.
